今日は２年Ｄクラスによるクラス担当礼拝でした。 音楽による讃美はすばらしく、またクラスの澄んだ歌声が清々しい朝を感じさせ てくれました。 今日の始まりを感謝します。
2D class led the chapel service this morning. We were serenaded by a wood and string ensemble as we entered the chapel. Following the Bible reading and the sermon, 2D sang a very lovely hymn in harmony.

昨日の日曜日からアドベントに入りました。 礼拝堂のアドベント・クランツの１本目のロウソクが灯りました。 これが４本灯るとクリスマスがやって来ます。
We lit the first Advent candle today in anticipation of the celebration of Christ's coming at Christmas.

今度の日曜日からアドベント（待降節）に入ります。今日は職員玄関前の木にイルミネーションを飾りました。 青の光がとてもきれいです。
This year's Christmas lights are new. The tree in front of Seiai is lit with blue lights this year, which are very beautiful.

各クラスの宗教委員に対してクリスマス準備の説明会が行われました。 本校ではアドベント（待降節）になるとリースやカード、ステンドグラスを飾ります。 その飾りつけを担当するのが宗教委員です。 良いクリスマスが迎えられますように。
Representatives from each class met in the chapel to learn their duties for the upcoming Christmas season.

礼拝堂で第３回弘前学院聖愛中学校説明会を持ちました。児童１３名、保護者２２名(２２家庭)の出席をいただきました。今回は募集要項の説明と制服の展示もしました。質問は、具体的・現実的なものたくさんお寄せいただきました。ご回答致しましたとおりに、是非とも、コースの特性を生かし切り、目標を達成致します。
Today was the third explanatory meeting about Seiai Junior High School, which will open in April, 2006. In this picture, Principal Shundo is speaking and the uniforms for Seiai Junior High are in the foreground.

１学年の英語暗唱大会が行われました。１クラス３名の代表者が、 マーチン・ルーサーキング牧師の演説で有名な一節「I have a dream.〜」の暗 唱を発表しました。４名のネイティブの方に審査して頂きました。
Three students from each first year class participated in the 33rd annual Seiai English Recitation Contest today. The speech that they performed was an excerpt from Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream." Yurie Mikami from 1F was the winner.

今日は２年Ｃクラスによるクラス担当礼拝でした。 クラスによる讃美には美しい歌声と共に、楽器も加えた「慈しみ深き、友なるイ エスは」 の曲が礼拝堂いっぱいに広がりました。
Today was 2C class' chapel service. They harmonized a lovely hymn for us all.

ロング・ホームルームの時間を使って１年生の「保健衛生デー」が行われました。弘前警察署の生活安全課の方に来て頂き、薬物乱用防止についてのビデオを見、お話を伺いました。薬物に手を出してはいけないとの決意を新たにしました。
All the first year students spent long home room listening to a guest speaker give a lecture on the evils of drug abuse.

気持ちよく晴れました。前庭で雪囲いがはじまりました。右下に小さく写っているのですが…。

今日の礼拝は２年Ｂクラスの担当礼拝でした。 前奏がハンドベルで行われ、美しい音色が礼拝堂に響き渡りました。
2B class gave the chapel service today. They played beautiful music on the handbells.

昨夜の冷たい雨と風。朝は山が白くなっていました。初冠雪といえば岩木山を出したいところですが、雲の中で姿を見せてくれません。代わりに南側の山々の写真です。
Today was the first snow of the season. It melted quickly in the valley, but it remains on Mt. Iwaki, and probably will remain until next spring.

１時間目、来年度の生徒会役員を決める選挙のための立ち会い演説会がありました。 候補者とその応援者が全校生徒に向けて自分の思いを語りました。 立候補者が出ていないものは後日補欠選挙が行われる予定になっています。
This is a photo of an award ceremony held first period today. Today was an all-school assembly in which some awards were presented. The main purpose of the assembly, however, was to elect new student council representatives and a new student council president.

今日は風の強い一日でした。校庭の木々はしだいに葉を落としつつありますが、それを一層早めた気がします。 もうすぐ初雪が降るのでしょうか。
Fall is progressing and the beautiful-colored leaves have begun to fall from the trees. It will probably snow soon.

キリスト教教育週間２日目。
今日は東京の山谷で「まりや食堂」を中心になって担おられる菊地譲牧師が講演して下さいました。 日雇い労働者の方々の現実など知らなかったことを学べた貴重な機会でした。
Today was the second day of Christian education week. Students attended chapel and then received lessons from local pastors.
Pastor Yuzuru Kikuchi talked about the "Mary Restaurant." This is a restaurant that provides food and employment for underprivileged and homeless people. Every year,each student brings a cup of rice from home and Seiai sends all this rice to the Mary Restaurant.

キリスト教教育週間１日目。
今日は、今年度の主題「正義」にあわせた映画「マイ・フレンド・メモリー」 の鑑賞と奉仕活動を行いました。 写真は３年Ａクラスが山郷館で窓拭きをしているところです。施設の方に喜んで 頂き、とてもうれしくなりました。
Today was the first day of Christian education week. Students watched the movie "The Mighty" and did volunteer work at various locations around Hirosaki.
